A variety of Sunday School classes are offered for Adults of all ages. Sunday School begins at 9:00 every Sunday morning.
Sisters in Spirit
Just for the women, this dynamic class is taught by Connie Morris. They are studying “A Call for Courage: Living with Power, Truth and Love in an Age of Intolerance” by Michael Anthony. In an age where Christians are being silenced, excluded and condemned in the name of tolerance, Anthony provides us with a playbook for speaking out boldly. They meet in the lower-level of the Sunday School wing.
ETC.
This class, taught by Pastor Gerry, takes an interesting look at the current events in the news put our by “The Wired Word” and how they relate to our lives as Christians. Each topic is given many scripture texts to use for reference as the class studies how to live in the 21st century. This unconventional, discussion-based class meets in the lower-level of the Sunday School wing and is open to all ages.
New Life
The New Life class meets in the Library (in the lower-level) and is taught by Robert Stockslager and Sharon Hershey. This class uses the Guide for Biblical Studies curriculum, which is published by Brethren Press.
Truth Seekers
Meeting in the upper-level, this class is taught by Angie Ruth. They are continuing with lessons from “The Bible Project.” This study has a wealth of information centered around either words in the bible, concepts from the bible or any of the books of the bible that you might want to study on your own.
Special Elective Classes
Occasionally, the Christian Education Commission will offer a special, short-term elective class for adults in addition to the regularly scheduled classes. The topics, location, format, and teachers vary, so watch your weekly bulletin or facebook announcements for details!
